LFOCHROME Platinum Matt White (PSM.5M) metal photo panels have a unique coating that produce a highly durable photo print.

ILFOCHROME is perfect for colour images that have vibrancy and depth as the finished panel offers superb clarity and impact. The Platinum Super gloss has a very high gloss finish that provides additional vibrancy and colour to the final image.

During the sublimation process, the dyes impregnate the unique coating of the Ilfochrome Platinum panel and become impregnated, resulting in an image with excellent longevity and resistance to fading. The over-surface of the Ilfochrome Platinum panel is scratch resistant, water resistant and hardly wears off. Durable, also suitable for outdoor applications.

The ILFOCHROME metal photo panels with super gloss finish provide photographers with the ability to offer the ultimate colour print using a range of different finishes. Whichever finish is selected the final print is guaranteed to offer superb clarity, depth of colour,
detail and impact. Not only the final print will last longer than any other photographic substrate, it is also scratch, abrasion and water resistant making it extremely durable.

10 sheets ILFOTRANS DST130 dye sublimation paper,
1 sheet heat resistant tissue

Recommended sublimation-time/-temperature: 2 minutes / 200° Celsius
Time and temperature may vary dependent on press modell, climatic conditions etc.

In the first step, the image is printed on Ilfotrans sublimation paper and in the second step transferred in a hot press to a special high-gloss Ilfochrome Platinum Metallic plate.
This process is similar to the Chromaluxe process and is based on Sawgrass dye inks, which have a wider colour gamut than the pigment inks used in fine art printing. By using a hot press, the colour molecules are transferred from the backing paper to a high-quality, scratch-resistant plate.
This process opens up opportunities for labs and photographers to reach new customers and market new products. A particular advantage of the sublimation process is the low sensitivity of the image, which is fixed to the layers of the Ilfochrome Platinium plate by the sublimation process. This makes the Ilfochrome imaging layer scratch-resistant, waterproof and abrasion-resistant. However, Ilfochrome is limited to DIN A3 format. Ilfochrome panels are offered with a glossy and matt surface.
