Complete reverse development kit for reverse development (positive development/ slide development) of 8 Fomapan 100 R,Adox Scala, Adox Silvermax, Adox CHS 100 II or other B/W negative or slide films. In contrast to the negative process, the unexposed silver is not blackened but the unexposed image silver. To do this, the exposed silver is developed and dissolved, the remaining unexposed silver is exposed (intermediate exposure), then developed again and finally fixed. This way you get a slide with perfect tonal values.

The kit contains

The bleach bath is potassium dichromate free.

The developer kit is used to prepare 8 development baths of 330 ml each. With each bath, one to two R100 films can be developed, so that with this kit about 8 black and white slide films can be developed.

A detailed preparation table with times for Fomapan R films is included (English and perfect High Czech). Other makes can be found out quickly by slightly varying the first development time (5-11 minutes). Attention, reverse development is not a piece of cake. You have to pay attention to some things. Since potassium dichromate is no longer allowed to be used, the bleach bath makes trouble. The substance used here quickly breaks down. Therefore, you must always prepare the bleach bath just before use, while the process is still running, and filter through a coffee filter to titrate the manganese dioxide. Then do not bleach too briefly! During the intermediate exposure it is important that the film gets enough light, overexposure is almost impossible because the grey values have already been formed by the process. In the reverse process you have to "think around the corner" because everything is "the wrong way round" compared to the negative process. So be aware of the possibility of initial failure and plan enough practice developments if you have never reversed a film yourself before. Do not develop the wedding film right away!

Please note: The black and white reversal process is not easy! There are some things you need to pay attention to in order to achieve a good result. As potassium dichromate can no longer be used, the bleach must be treated with the utmost care. The bleach used in this kit has a very short shelf life once opened. Therefore the bleach should preferably be mixed just before use, preferably during the development process. Also make sure that the films are treated in the bleach bath for a sufficiently long time. It is also very important that the film receives sufficient light during the second exposure.
