A flexible developer for adjusting the rendering

BWDEK 76 allows fine adjustment of the contrast according to the photographer's expectations. By increasing or reducing the development time in increments of 10 to 15%, it is possible to adjust the density and contrast of the negatives according to the type of scene or the desired aesthetic. Used conventionally at 20°C for 8 minutes, it provides a reliable basis for obtaining balanced negatives, rich in detail in both highlights and shadows.

The developer's performance has been validated with numerous reference films, such as Kodak T-Max, Kodak Tri-X, Ilford FP4 Plus, Ferrania P30 and Fomapan Creative. It ensures good tone separation and optimal detail readability, even in high-contrast scenes.

Development and agitation process

The recommended agitation protocol is based on continuous agitation for the first 30 seconds, followed by 5 seconds of agitation every 30 seconds until the end of the development time.
